You’ve probably heard of The Day Before and if you’ve been waiting to check it out, you can play it via GeForce NOW starting today. It’s time for another GFN Thursday and that means a new crop of games coming to subscribers. The month of December is a big month for the service with lots of new titles getting compatibility. For GeForce NOW enthusiasts, this is a really good thing. Because you shouldn’t be locked out of your games just because you don’t have your PC with you.

In addition to The Day Before, GeForce NOW is getting 16 additional games to stream. If you don’t have a GeForce NOW membership yet, it’s a great time to check out the service. NVIDIA is currently running a holiday bundle that comes with a bonus. If you sign up for the 6-month Ultimate membership plan, which is $99.99, you get three months of PC Game Pass for free. That would normally cost you $30. Plus, you’ll be able to access your PC Game Pass games in the cloud via GeForce NOW, or locally on a PC when you’re at home.

The Day Before launches on GeForce NOW today, but you might want to skip it

The Day Before initially garnered lots of attention for its first trailer quite some time ago. To many, it looked good and seemed like it could be a fun zombie game in an open-world setting. As time went on attention for The Day Before started to turn negative and people started to believe the game wasn’t real. It turns out, The Day Before is real. And you can play it right now on GeForce NOW if you desire to do so. You might want to skip it, however.

Early reports from users on X suggest the game is riddled with bugs. Enough that the game is literally unplayable for some. A report from Insider Gaming notes that the game is now at a rating of Overwhelmingly Negative on Steam and it only just launched this morning. The biggest problem seems to be server capacity. Many players have had trouble getting into the game due to inconsistencies with servers and just a general lack of enough server space for players.

If you manage to get into a game, then there is likely a whole other host of problems that await you. One player review on Steam says they had login issues at first. But once they were able to get in, they immediately fell through the floor and died. Beyond the bugs, many players seem to feel the game is lifeless with not much of anything to do. “This is not an open-world MMO, This Is a small area extraction shooter. The devs deleted all the old videos showing the open-world elements. The city is dead and there are barely any open buildings,” one user said on Steam.

There are tons of these experiences like this out there and it’s only a few hours into the launch. In short, you should probably enjoy any number of other available GeForce NOW games instead.

There are 16 other great games to check out

Whether you’ve chosen to forgo The Day Before or not, you have loads of other potential games you could begin playing the cloud right now. One we’d recommend is Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, especially if you’re a fan of the film series. Or if you really want to play something with zombies in it, World War Z: Aftermath is a new release today as well.

Additionally, you can also play Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader, Goat Simulator 3, LEGO Fortnite, Against The Storm, Rocket Racing, Fortnite Festival, Agatha Christie, BEAST, Dungeons 4, Farming Simulator 22, Hollow Knight, Ori and the Will of the Wisps, Ori and the Blind Forest, and Spirittea. The two Ori games in particular are quite good.
