Samsung brings Galaxy S23 to the Fortnite metaverse
Samsung is bringing the Galaxy S23 to the popular battle royale game Fortnite. The company has activated a new map in the Fortnite metaverse with a focus on its latest flagships. It has also enabled new in-game attributes inspired by Galaxy S23’s groundbreaking features such as improved camera zoom, Nightography, and the best-in-class Knox security.
Samsung’s Fortnite metaverse island is called Samsung SmartCity. Launched alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 in August last year, it is a virtual world for everything Samsung. With the latest update, the island now has a new space characterized by the Galaxy S23 series. It lets visitors explore the latest Galaxies in a whole new way. You can immersively interact with the phones and check out their design and functionalities up close in a virtual world.
The new Fortnite metaverse map arrives with additional attributes. A new zoom function lets players see distant objects clearly, giving an advantage during the game. With the Nightography button, you can see in the dark as well, adding another dynamic to your gameplay. The Knox button, meanwhile, provides an extra layer of protection to your in-game character. These attributes are inspired by the Galaxy S23 series.
The new Galaxy flagships are now the main object in Fun Game Quest as well. It is an interactive hide-and-seek game where you have to find a hidden Galaxy S23 phone and keep it in your possession until the end of the round. Earlier, that hidden device was the Galaxy Z Fold 4. Samsung has also hidden easter eggs on the new Fortnite map.
Samsung SmartCity in Fortnite metaverse adds a virtual showroom
On top of this, the Samsung Island in Fortnite metaverse is adding a new virtual showroom. It is home to all the latest and greatest the Koren tech giant has on offer. You’ll find everything from the Galaxy S23 series and the Galaxy Z Fold 4 foldable to the QN90B 4K QLED TV, Odyssey series gaming monitors, and lifestyle TVs such as The Frame and The Serif.
This virtual showroom will also highlight Samsung’s sustainability efforts. The Korean firm has been making its mobile devices more eco-friendly with each new generation. It has reduced the use of plastic and increased the use of recycled materials. The Galaxy S23 series features 12 internal and external components made of recycled materials, up from six on the Galaxy S22 series. Fortnite players will be able to explore all of this in Samsung SmartCity. You can enter this Samsung world in the Fortnite metaverse by using the code 8526-6648-9508 in the game.
